A Painting of the Savior

By Halle Evans

This black and white painting shows the intricate details of the Savior's true grace, kindness, and mercy as a close up portrait. His role as the shepherd is evident with his simple robes and kind smile. My favorite scripture verse about Jesus Christ is found in The Book of Mormon in 2 Nephi 31:20. It reads, “Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.” About the Artist

Halle Evans, 17 years old , California I'm a young artist who loves to sit down with rock music blaring and just draw whatever comes, no matter if it is good or bad. Art has become my outlet and has helped me see beauty in all things, even the dark things. Living in a complex world such as this, it is necessary for art to become more mainstream and accessible. I believe that if everyone took the time to express themselves with a pencil or paintbrush, the world would be a better place.
